Registration is open for the fall season of RUN CLUB.  Click here for more details.

Hosted by the Russell Community Sport Club, RUN CLUB is for runners and aspiring runners in grades 3 through 10 who want to have fun while being physically active and learning how to set and pursue personal goals.

(We are considering a RUN CLUB for adults; please contact us if you might be interested.)

Throughout the fall season, we use fun games and activities that develop proper running form, stamina and speed. It is our primary goal to ensure that all participants finish the season with a passionate enthusiasm for running.  Entering its fourth year as a community program, RUN CLUB is a great fall activity on its own, but also one that complements any other sport, particularly the fall cross-country season at most local schools.

Led by our experienced group of coaches and volunteers, we typically have two training groups, one for younger and beginner runners, and another for  older and more experienced runners.  Although very focussed on fun, particularly for the younger and beginner runners, RUN CLUB has had the pleasure to be a part of the success of a number of local high performing runners who have placed and won numerous school board races and championships, inclusive of the Eastern Ontario Elementary School Championships.

As RUN CLUB becomes more and more popular , we are always looking for more volunteers interested in helping with the Club's management (non-technical) as well as working with the kids.   Please contact us if you are interested in getting involved, whether it be as a photographer, a race manager, coach, or special event assistant.

Happy Running!
